Ben
Rubin, a sound and video artist who teaches sound design at New
York University's Film School and Interactive Telecommunications
Program, will lecture on his work.
He
received the 2000 Art in Multimedia grant from the Brooklyn Academy
of Music and Bell Labs to develop his project "Ear to the Ground."
He
is director of Electronic Arts Research Studio, a multimedia design
and technology firm he founded in 1993.
Rubin
received his bachelor's degree in computer science from Brown University,
and his master's in visual studies from the MIT Media Lab in 1989.
