International Conference To Be Held Oct. 4-6 At U.Va.

WHO: The Charlottesville Conference on Ethics and Leadership

WHAT: "Leadership for Ethical Schools: Dilemmas of Standards and Individual Needs"

WHEN: Thursday, Oct. 4, 5 p.m.- Saturday, Oct. 6, noon

WHERE: Newcomb Hall, University of Virginia

The University Council for Educational Administration will present an international conference on ethics and leadership, Oct. 4-6. The conference, hosted by the Center for the Study of leadership and Ethics at the University of Virginia's Curry School of Education, will be dedicated to providing discussion of ethical issues in schools and to creating and maintaining a supportive network for practitioners and scholars in educational leadership roles.

Participants will include guests from Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, Barbados, Sweden, and the United States.

Speakers addressing the conference include: George Wood, Wildwood Secondary School, California; Colleen Larson, New York University; Elizabeth Campbell, University of Toronto; and Bill Bosher, Virginia Commonwealth University.
