Nursing Students To Explore Jobs During Career Fair 2002 September 12, 2002-- Nursing students from the University of Virginia and Virginia Commonwealth University will explore career opportunities at a U.Va. Career Fair on Saturday, Sept. 28. The event will be held in the Newcomb Hall Ballroom from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Co-sponsored by U.Va.’s Career Services, School of Nursing and VCU’s School of Nursing, Career Fair 2002 is expected to bring about 40 recruiters from businesses, institutions and health systems across the country to the University. U.Va. and VCU offer the one-day event every two years to provide professional development services to nursing students and nurses. In a recent response addressing the national nursing shortage, a Vanderbilt University nursing researcher said that one of the biggest problems is that people are unaware of career opportunities and rewards in the nursing profession. ### For details, call Janis Rapp at (434) 924-0141 or email jar8m@virginia.edu.
