Herbert
Muschamp, architecture critic for The New York Times, will give
the Career Forum Lecture at the University of Virginia School of
Architecture on March 1. His talk, "Design Careers for 2002 and
Beyond," will be at 5 p.m. in Campbell Hall, Room 153.
Before
joining The Times, Muschamp was architecture critic for "The New
Republic" and "Artforum." He also served as director of the graduate
program in architecture and design criticism at Parsons School of
Design in New York City where he has been a member of the faculty
since 1983.
A
recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts award for criticism
and design arts, Muschamp is the author of several books, including
"File Under Architecture" and "Man About Town: Frank Lloyd Wright
in the City."
