"Touch
Places" features works by Eleanor Hanson, a student in the
Aunspaugh Fifth Year Program in Studio Art at the University of
Virginia. Hanson explores the body and interactions of touch, as
well as the play between presence and absence as viewers moved from
spaces where they are called on only to watch, to places where their
personal space is inhabited.
The
exhibit is on view Wednesday, May 15, through Wednesday, May 29,
in Fayerweather Gallery, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
An
opening reception will be held in the gallery on Friday, May 17,
6 - 8 p.m.
