Art Museum Offers Two Lectures On The Arts Of Asia January 29, 2003-- WHO: Julian Raby, director of Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery WHAT: “Of Shells and Bones: Facts and Fables in Renaissance Europe and the Muslim World about the Making of Chinese Porcelain” WHEN: Thursday, Feb. 13, 5:30 p.m. WHERE: Campbell Hall, Room 153 WHO: Julia Curtis, an independent scholar from Williamsburg, Va. WHAT: “Shunzhi Styles: Decoration and Iconography on Jingdezehen Porcelains” WHEN: Wednesday, Feb. 19, 5:30 p.m. WHERE: Campbell Hall, Room 153 This spring the University of Virginia Art Museum will present two Weedon Lectures in the Arts of Asia.
