Alexander Stockwell and Colin Whitlow,
all returning
fifth-year
Aunspaugh Fellows in the
University of Virginia McIntire Department of Art’s studio art
program, will show recent work in Dell I, behind Ruffner Hall, the Curry
School
of Education. The exhibit begins Friday, Sept. 10 and continues through
Thursday, Sept. 16.
The Dell I exhibit space is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The
Aunspaugh Fellowship program grants outstanding studio art students
an opportunity to remain at U.Va. a year after graduation as
fifth-year
interns.
The
exhibit kicks off the Studio Art Department’s fall
series and celebrates the move to new, temporary facilities. Studio
art will occupy two buildings,
Dell I and Dell II, until the new studio art building, officially
named Ruffin Hall, is completed. Groundbreaking for the new building,
to
be part of the Carr’s
Hill Arts Precinct, is set for fall 2005.
Hourly
parking is available in the Emmet Street Parking Garage. Passengers
may be dropped-off
on Bonnycastle Drive, off McCormick Road.
