Garrison To Speak At U.Va. School Of Architecture

Architect
and educator James Garrison will present a public lecture at
the
University
of Virginia’s School of Architecture Friday, Sept. 17, 5 p.m. in Campbell
Hall, Room 153. He will discuss his work sponsored by the U.S. General Services
Administration.
Garrison
founded Garrison Architects in 1991. From 1977 to 1990, he was
a partner with Polshek and Partners, where he was instrumental
in the
design of many award-winning
buildings, including 500 Park Avenue and the Washington Court apartments in
New York.
Garrison
Architects is currently at work on diverse residential and institutional
projects such as the Syracuse University
School of Architecture; a new U.S.
Border Patrol Station in Murrieta, Calif.; and the renovation of the U.S.
Embassy in
Morocco.
