Choksombatchai: LOOM Studio January 12, 2004 -- Raveevarn Choksombatchai, associate professor at the University of California, Berkeley, will present the annual Michael Owen Jones Lecture, Friday, Jan. 23, at 5 p.m. The talk will be held in Campbell Hall, Room 153. Choksombatchai co-founded LOOM Studio with Ralph Nelson in 1991. The firm is a collaborative venture in art, architecture, and environmental design with a commitment to expose the rift between theory and practice by weaving together disparate fields of knowledge and multiple influences. LOOM Studio has created a number of residential buildings and art installations around the world. The lectureship is an opportunity for young design professionals to bring their enthusiasm and talent to the School of Architecture with a lecture that begins the series either in the fall or spring semester.
