one of America’s leading experts in Greek vase painting, will give a Gallery
Talk in conjunction with the exhibit “The Museum: Conditions and Spaces” at
the University of Virginia Art Museum on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 12:30 p.m.
Recent
publications by Smith focus on her interest in black-figure Komasts vessels
and the relationship of festivals and rituals in Greek vase painting.
The
U.Va. Art Museum is open free to the public Tuesday through Sunday,
1 to 5 p.m.
