On Greek Vase Painting To Give A Gallery Talk At U.Va. Art Museum September 2, 2004 -- WHO: Tyler Jo Smith, assistant professor, McIntire Department of Art WHAT: Gallery Talk: “Red and Black Pottery” WHEN: Tuesday, Sept. 14, 12:30 p.m. WHERE: University of Virginia Art Museum Tyler Jo Smith, University of Virginia assistant professor of art history and one of America’s leading experts in Greek vase painting, will give a Gallery Talk in conjunction with the exhibit “The Museum: Conditions and Spaces” at the University of Virginia Art Museum on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 12:30 p.m. Recent publications by Smith focus on her interest in black-figure Komasts vessels and the relationship of festivals and rituals in Greek vase painting.
