U.Va. Art Museum Begins New Docent Training Program Sept. 14

WHEN:         Wednesday, Sept. 14, 3:30 p.m.

The University of Virginia Art Museum invites community members to become docents. Orientation for the new docent training program is Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 3:30 p.m. in the museum.

New docents attend a weekly training program, presented by Marilyn Mars, the museum’s docent program consultant, and join the docent corps in monthly education sessions. Once trained, museum docents give a range of tours to visiting groups, from K-12 students to life-long learners.
