WHAT: Annual Legislative Forum
WHEN: Wednesday, Dec. 21, at noon
WHERE: University of Virginia, Newcomb Hall Ballroom
The University of Virginia's annual legislative forum with local legislators will be held at noon, on Wednesday, Dec. 21, in the Newcomb Hall Ballroom. As in prior years, legislators from the Central Virginia region will take part. University President John T. Casteen III will host the session.
Legislators will each have a few minutes to share their viewpoints about the issues facing the 2006 General Assembly, including those that impact the future of higher education, the health system, and other state and local community issues. Time will be reserved for questions and comments.
The forum is scheduled to occur after the governor has released his budget and before the legislators return to Richmond for the General Assembly in January.
The public is invited to attend.
