May 23, 2006 --  “Past Meets Present” highlights the art works of McIntire Department of Art alumni from 1976 to 1996, as well as work from this year’s Fifth Year Fellows. Participating artists include Viesturs Osvalds, 1976; Anne Gregory Bepler, 1981; Judy Guy, 1986; David Slatton, 1986; Clay Witt, 1991; Jayne Matricardi-Burke, 1996; Mike Wartella, 1996; and Adam Wolpa, 1996; as well as 2005-2006 Fifth-Year Fellows Britta Bielak, Abigail Jenkins, Kelsey Mosley and Magaret Sullivan.

Also scheduled for Reunion Weekend is a tour of Fayerweather Hall, which has undergone extensive renovations and will soon house the art history department. The tour will begin on the front steps at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 3. Included in the tour will be a display of the model and drawings of Ruffin Hall, the new studio art building, as well as a site tour. Construction of Ruffin Hall is expected to begin soon with completion scheduled in two years. 

All events are free and open to the public.
