June 26, 2006 -- Four graduates of the University of
Virginia’s Darden
School of Business have been named
to Black MBA Magazine’s list of the “Top 50
Under 50” African-American corporate executives.
Darden alumni Thomas Baltimore (’91), Bryan Simms
(’94), Warren Thompson (’83) and William Wright
(’87) were all named to the prestigious list.
“They were selected based on their positions within
a publicly or privately traded company, their responsibility
in managing
significant revenues, plus they must have revenue generating
or operational responsibilities, and hold an MBA,” said
Black MBA Magazine spokesperson Sharon Allen.
Baltimore is president of RLJ Development in Bethesda,
Md.; Simms is senior vice president of Lehman Brothers
in New York; Thompson is president, chairman and CEO of
Thompson Hospitality Corporation in northern Virginia;
and Wright is managing director of Morgan Stanley in New
York.
“Darden is extremely proud of each of these individuals,” said
Darden School of Business Dean Robert Bruner. They each
have made significant contributions to the success of their
respective companies, to Darden and to the University of
Virginia.”
The complete “Top 50 under 50” list will be
published in the summer issue of Black MBA Magazine.
