TRUSTEES PLAN EVENTS TO EASE GRADUATESÕ TRANSITION FROM UNIVERSITY LIFE CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., April 15 -- Graduating students can begin to bid farewell to the University of Virginia and establish contacts in their new locales through City Groups, an inaugural program starting next week. Designed by the 1995 class trustees for graduates who will be moving to major U.S. cities, the program will allow students to network, obtain information about their new hometowns and gain a list of other graduates who will be living nearby. City Groups meetings are planned for students going to Houston; Chicago; several West Coast sites, including Los Angeles and Seattle; and numerous East Coast cities, including New York, Atlanta and Washington, D.C. The events will be held nightly at locations off-Grounds. ÒThe class trustees felt it was important to help ease studentsÕ transition from college life to city life,Ó said David H. Kaefer, a program organizer. ### April 14, 1995 FOR MORE INFORMATION, contact Kaefer at (804) 924-3604 or (804) 979-1845 or John Chun, City Groups program coordinator, at (804) 984-2143.
