WORKSHOP TO CONSIDER CHANGES IN UNDERGRADUATE EDUCATION CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., April 1 -- College student affairs officials will consider a broad range of issues related to undergraduate education at a workshop Wednesday, April 5, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the University of VirginiaÕs Newcomb Hall. Approximately 70 college officials from Virginia and North Carolina will consider such topics as multiculturalism, student judicial issues, leadership development and technologyÕs effects on undergraduate lifestyles during the workshop, sponsored by U.Va.Õs Center for the Study of Higher Education, in cooperation with region III of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. At 9:30 a.m. Cheryl Callahan, associate vice chancellor for student affairs at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, will deliver a keynote speech describing how declining resources, increased governmental regulations and changing student needs are impacting the services student affairs officials provide.
