ROBERT F. KENNEDY JR. TO DISCUSS ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES AT U.VA. CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., April 6 -- University of Virginia law school alumnus Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will address "Our Environmental Destiny" on Thursday, April 11, at 8 p.m. in Old Cabell Hall Auditorium at the University of Virginia. As a speaker in the Thomas Jefferson Visiting Lecture Series, Kennedy will describe environmental policies that he believes can also benefit the nation's economy. Among the topics he will address are global warming, the greenhouse effect and water pollution. A senior attorney for the National Resources Defense Council, Kennedy is also a clinical professor and supervising attorney at the Environmental Litigation Clinic at Pace University Law School in New York. A graduate of Harvard University, Kennedy earned his law degree from U.Va. in 1982 and a master's degree in environmental law from Pace University. Public tickets for the lecture are $5 and can be purchased at Peabody Hall and the Forestry Building at U.Va.
