PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT Barcelona-based architect Enric Miralles will deliver a lecture on his work at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at the University of Virginia's School of Architecture, Campbell Hall Room 153. Miralles has won first place in numerous competitions and his work has been exhibited throughout the world, including Rome, Zurich, Tokyo, Vienna, London, Madrid and Barcelona. His finished work includes the "Heaven" Pavilion for the Tateyama Museum of Japan, Sport Hall in Huesca, Spain, and designs for the Avenida Icaria Olympic Village in Barcelona. Miralles has designed projects throughout Spain, as well as in Japan and Germany. Additionally he has been a visiting professor and lecturer at Columbia University, Harvard University, Princeton University, The Berlage Institute and the Mackintosh School. Since 1985 he has been a professor of architecture at the E.T.S.A.B. in Barcelona. This lecture is the fourth in the 1995-96 series sponsored by the Dean's Forum of the architecture school.
