RELEASE ON RECEIPT Contact: Marguerite Beck CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA., Aug. 11 -- Dr. David Brautigan, director of the Markey Center for Cell Signaling at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, has been elected to serve a three-year term on the governing council of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology(ASBMB), a national professional organization. He has been active in the ASBMB for years, including chairing its Human Resources Committee and overseeing and coordinating the activity of the Educational, Womens' and Minorities Committees.
