Wilhelm, professor emeritus in the Department of Surgery at the University of Virginia, has been elected to serve a five-year term on the board of directors of the James Ewing Foundation. The foundation is named in honor of Dr. James Ewing, world-renown pathologist often called "the Father of Oncology." Its function is to manage funds for the support of the educational efforts of the Society of Surgical Oncology. Wilhelm also is the assistant director for education in U.Va.'s Cancer Center. ### August 10, 1995
