     CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA., Dec. 23 -- Dr. Charles E. Myers, head of the 
University of Virginia Cancer Center, has received a 1995 CaP CURE award.  
The award includes a $100,000 grant in support of Myers' research on 
prostate cancer.
     CaP CURE was founded in 1993 by Michael Milken shortly after he learned 
about his own diagnosis of advanced prostate cancer.  CaP CURE has become 
the largest private funder of prostate cancer research in the country.
