MANY U.VA. OFFICES TO OPEN IN NEW LOCATIONS IN '96 Numerous University of Virginia offices that offer services to the public will be moved during the holiday break and will reopen at new locations in January. Because renovation on the University's Newcomb Hall will start Dec. 23 and continue until the building's projected re-opening date of August, 1997, nearly 30 offices are being moved before the new year. Among those used frequently by the public are: ¥ The Newcomb Hall Post Office will cease window service at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22. Mailing services will resume on Monday, Jan. 15, in the University Bookstore. For more information, call (804) 924-5680. ¥ The Speech and Hearing Center will move from its current location at 132 Emmet St. to suite 202 in the Colonnade Plaza, 2205 Fontaine Ave. The center will reopen in mid- January. For more information, call (804) 924-7107. ¥ The Jefferson National Bank branch in Newcomb Hall will close at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21, and reopen at its new location in the basement of Peabody Hall on Friday, Dec. 22, at 9 a.m. There will be no automated teller machine (ATM) at the new location. Patrons can continue to use the ATM in the University Bookstore. ¥ The Mane Cut Hair Salon will move to room 103 of the Forestry Building, 530 McCormick Rd. A temporary dining facility is scheduled to open for meal service on Jan. 15 in Upper Nameless Field. Newcomb Hall will be limited to first floor access only from the Pavilion XI entrances and the theater entrance. There will be no access between Peabody and Newcomb Halls through the courtyard area.
