94-02-03 Panel to Discuss African-American Business PANEL TO ADDRESS AFRICAN-AMERICAN BUSINESS CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Feb. 3 -- A town meeting addressing the past, present and future of African-American business will be held Saturday, Feb. 5, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Burley Middle School, 901 Rose Hill Drive. During the meeting panelists will address a number of issues pertaining to African-American business, such as how to stimulate entrepreneurship and the roles of government, corporations, local banks and community leaders. Panelists will include Raymond Bell, owner and operator of J.F. Bell Funeral Home, Inc.; Margaret Cain, attorney; Mike Deloach, branch officer and assistant vice president, Central Fidelity Bank; and A. Elias, manager, Charlottesville Purchasing Office. Others will be Alicia Lugo, director, "Teensight" Project; Bengal Paige, dentist; Eugene Williams, general partner and manager, Dogwood Housing Limited Partnership; and Joan Woodfolk, owner, Painting with Threads. The discussion will be moderated by Greer Dawson Wilson, director of the University of Virginia's Newcomb Hall/University Union. Wilson is a nationally recognized facilitator.
