     Dr. Edward R. Laws, Jr., professor of neurosurgery and medicine at the
University of Virginia School of Medicine, has been appointed to the 
American College of Surgeons Board of Regents for a three-year term.

     Dr. Laws specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of pituitary 
disorders, peripheral nerve surgery, epilepsy surgery and the treatment
of malignant brain tumors.

     The American College of Surgeons is a voluntary association of surgeons
whose mission is to advance the science of surgery and the ethical practice
of the art.
