SHAWE PLEDGES GIFT TO VIRGINIA LAW SCHOOL CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Jan. 11 -- Earle K. Shawe of Baltimore, managing partner of the Shawe & Rosenthal law firm, has pledged $250,000 to the University of Virginia School of Law. Shawe, a national authority on labor and employment law and a 1934 graduate of the law school, will endow a research professorship. ÒThis chair will allow distinguished law practitioners to pursue research in the field of labor and employment law,Ó said Robert E. Scott, dean of the law school.
