MASATO KITAGAWA TO SPEAK AT U.VA. FEB. 6 CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Jan. 28 -- Masato Kitagawa, executive vice president of Chiyoda Corp., will speak on "Reading Economic Movement in Asia and the World Today" on Monday, February 6 at the University of Virginia. His talk, free and open to the public, will start at 3 p.m. in the Dome Room of the Rotunda. Kitagawa, a graduate of Keio University in Japan, joined Chiyoda in 1959 and has held several executive positions of increasing authority since he was named a director in 1987. A governor of the World Economic Forum and member of several international organizations including the Pacific Basin Economic Council, he has lectured at other U.S. and Japanese universities. Chiyoda, founded in 1947, has about 5,600 employees and annual sales of $5.3 billion. It is an international, Japanese-based engineering and construction contractor which in recent years has diversified into environmental preservation, factory automation, theme park development, pharmaceuticals and other areas. ### January 27, 1995
