BERNARD MORIN TO TRAVEL TO BULGARIA ON FULBRIGHT CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA., Jan. 8 -- University of Virginia Professor Bernard A. Morin has won a Fulbright grant, which he will spend in Bulgaria. Morin, the Robert Hill Carter Professor at the McIntire School of Commerce, will lecture on the marketing of services -- such as banking, real estate, accounting and hotels -- at Sofia University, in Sofia, Bulgaria. His four month term in that post will run from February through June. Morin, who earned a master's degree in business administration from Harvard University and a doctorate from Duke University, teaches services marketing at McIntire. In addition to conducting research on consumerism, he also consults on a variety of topics, including decision making, non-verbal communication and services marketing. Before coming to U.Va. to teach, Morin worked for the Cummins Engine Co. and General Electric Co. Fulbright grants are administered by the United States Information Agency and awarded by the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board on the basis of a national competition. Fulbright applications undergo rigorous peer review, conducted by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars.
