PUBLIC CAN DISCUSS FUTURE OF VIRGINIA EDUCATION WITH KEY POLICYMAKERS JULY 7-8 AT U.VA. Top decisionmakers, including the new head of the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV), will address the future of education in the Commonwealth during a July 7-8 institute at the University of Virginia. Key legislators, state department officials and school representatives will discuss a broad range of issues during the Second Annual Policy Institute on the Future of Education in Virginia. Sponsored by the Department of Leadership, Foundations and Policy in U.Va.'s Curry School of Education, the two-day program will be held in Newcomb Hall Ballroom. William B. Allen, SCHEV's new executive director, will discuss "The Future of Education in the Commonwealth" during a 12:30 p.m. lunch on Tuesday, July 7.
