94-03-26 Pat Robertson to Speak at U.Va. PAT ROBERTSON TO SPEAK AT U.VA. CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., March 26 -- Pat Robertson, founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network Inc. and the Christian Coalition, will give a free public address Friday, April 1, at 8 p.m. in Wilson Hall auditorium at the University of Virginia. Robertson will speak on America's Christian heritage and its influence on the challenges facing the nation today during an appearance sponsored by the Jefferson Literary and Debating Society, U.Va.'s oldest student organization. Founded in 1960, the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is the world's largest television ministry, with programs airing in 70 countries. Its flagship program, "The 700 Club," reaches an average of 1 million American households daily and is broadcast to 50 countries. Robertson also founded Regent University, the Family Channel and, in 1989, the Christian Coalition, a national organization that promotes religious values.
