U.VA. FINANCE EXPERT TO MEET WITH CHINESE LEADERS CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., March 26 -- David W. Breneman, dean of the University of Virginia's Curry School of Education, will leave for China on Saturday, March 30, to meet with top officials there on the financing of higher education. Breneman, a noted authority on higher education financing, is part of a seven-member American delegation that will meet with Chinese leaders in Beijing and Xiamen. He will lead a seminar on diversified fundraising efforts among American colleges and universities. Breneman was chosen to participate in the collaborative seminar on higher education finance by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching in the U.S. and the National Center for Education Development Research in China.
