BOOKMARK IT! EDUCATION FACTS ON-LINE The University of Virginia's Curry School of Education has created a Web site that pulls together key players in educational policymaking in one information nexus. Called the Education Policy Pavilion, the site is divided into two main sections, "Archives" and "Forum." "Archives" contains information about federal and state governmental agencies, professional organizations, research centers, international associations and media resources. The site also offers links to foundations, statistical centers, policy organizations and federal and state legislation. Under "Forum," people can raise questions, post notices and offer opinions about education issues, including the controversial idea of reversion in Charlottesville, Va. (Reversion allows a city with fewer than 50,000 people to revert to town status and share expenses for schools and other services with the surrounding county.) The Web site is http://curry.edschool.virginia.edu/curry/centers/edpolicy. "We have not been able to find comparable Web sites in other states, so it looks as if the Curry School is on the front edge of this kind of initiative," said Harold Burbach, chair of the school's department of leadership, foundations and policy. For information on the site's creation, contact Burbach at (804) 924-0737 or via hb3c@virginia.edu. ### March 18, 1997
