U.VA. STUDENTS TO EXPLORE "NONTRADITIONAL LEADERSHIP" CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., March 28 -- U.Va. LEAD, a student peer initiative sponsored by the University of Virginia's Office of the Dean of Students, announces its annual Spring Leadership Week. The topic this year is "Nontraditional Leadership." The program features Kanah Bray of the United States Secret Service and Lowell P. Weicker, former U.S. Senator and former governor of Connecticut, as speakers. The week will also offer evening panels of student-leader alumni and representatives of the University community. "These events offer fascinating opportunities to explore leadership in nontraditional settings," said Aaron Laushway, interim assistant dean of students. Sponsored by the Office of the Dean of Students and funded by the Parents Program of the University of Virginia Fund, the Spring Leadership Week includes: ¥ Monday, March 31 -- Kanah Bray, the U.S. Secret Service, "Nontraditional Leadership Roles," 7:30 p.m., Jefferson Hall ¥ Tuesday, April 1 -- Lowell P.
