PRESS PASSES AND PRESS PARKING INFORMATION
	FOR U.VA. GRADUATION EVENTS


	Following is media information for U.Va.'s graduation
weekend ceremonies May 18 and 19.

	PRESS PASSES:  U.Va. press passes will ensure access to the
press area on the southwest end of the Lawn for both Saturday and
Sunday events.  A platform for video and still photography and a
mult box for taping will be available.  To obtain a press pass in
advance, call Penney Catlett in the University Relations Office at
(804) 924-1400.  Passes may be mailed or picked up in person at
Booker House, 1709 University Avenue.

	PRESS PARKING:  Limited parking for news media will be
available on a first come-first served basis in the C-1 lot in front
of the Math-Astronomy Building, behind Clark Hall, off McCormick
Road.  Enter McCormick Road from the Emmet Street ramp and be
prepared to show press credentials at the parking lot entrance.

	If either Saturday's or Sunday's ceremony is moved to
University Hall, press parking will be available in the gravel lot
adjacent the Cage (southern tip of University Hall complex.)
