MEDIA ADVISORY TURKISH OFFICIALS CONVENE FOR ANTI-TERRORISM FORUM A group of 25 high-ranking security, judicial, and police officials from Turkey will be in residence at the University of Virginia's Criminal Justice Executive Forum for two weeks beginning May 3. The forum, created in collaboration with the FBI and the U.S. State Department's Office of Anti-Terrorism Assistance Programs, is in its second year. The forum features presentations and briefings by senior U.S. and international government and criminal justice officials. Using an array of techniques, including visits to federal and local agencies, the forum seeks to teach participants about ways to coordinate multi-agency activities in support of anti-terrorism strategies. Global and regional political, social, economic, and social trends, as well as civil and human rights, are among the subjects to be explored during the forum. Featured during the forum will be former ambassador to Kuwait W. Nathaniel Howell, resident diplomat at U.Va., who will speak "On National Leadership: A View of International Relations in the 21st Century," at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 5.
