May 5, 1998 Contact: Jane Ford (804) 924-4298 MEDIA ADVISORY ARCHITECTURE SCHOOL FEATURES TWO EVENTS THAT PROMOTE COMMUNITY BUILDING Report from Chattanooga The Design Resources Center of the Institute for Sustainable Design at University of Virginia's School of Architecture will hold a meeting Thursday, May 7 from 8 to 10 a.m. in Review Room B on the second floor of Campbell Hall. The focus of the meeting is to build on lessons learned by members of the community and University who traveled to Chattanooga in early April to explore new and creative ideas in community building. In an effort to foster community participation in the future of the region, Charlottesville city, Albemarle county, University, business, development community, foundations and African American community members will gather to discuss local and regional concerns of planning and design.
