93-11-12 Public Service Announcement on Lecture by Thomas Grisso PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT "Challenges to a Retributive Legal Response to Adolescent Homicide" will be the theme of a public lecture Thursday, Nov. 18 at 3:30 p.m. in Jefferson Hall at the University of Virginia. Thomas Grisso, director of forensic training and research at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, will be the speaker. Grisso is past president of the American Psychology-Law Society, a member of the MacArthur Foundation Research Network on Mental Health and the Law, and has received the annual Award for Outstanding Contributions to Forensic Psychology from the American Academy of Forensic Psychology. The U.Va. Institute of Law, Psychiatry and Public Policy sponsors this annual P. Browning Hoffman Memorial Lecture in Law and Psychiatry.
