WORK OF AWARD-WINNING ARCHITECTS W.G. CLARK AND CHARLES MENEFEE TO BE DISPLAYED AT U.VA. SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE THROUGH DEC. 9 CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Nov. 12 -- An exhibit of the design work of award-winning University of Virginia architecture faculty members W.G. Clark and Charles Menefee III will be on display to the public at the School of Architecture Nov. 14 through Dec. 9. Drawings, photographs and models of the work of their internationally recognized firm, Clark & Menefee Architects, will be shown in the schoolÕs exhibit room in Campbell Hall, open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday during the period. Clark and Menefee jointly have won numerous major design awards, including three prestigious National Honor Awards from the American Institute of Architects. Their work, which ranges from private houses to important institutional buildings, has been cited as among the best in the United States by such organizations as Time Magazine, GA Gallery in Tokyo and the Architectural League of New York and has been displayed in many leading architecture publications. Clark, the Edmund S. Campbell Professor of Architecture and an alumnus of the U.Va. architecture school, has been a member of the faculty since 1988. He has been an invited lecturer and design critic at numerous universities. Menefee, associate professor of architecture, joined the faculty in 1991. He previously practiced architecture in Charleston, S.C., where he formed the firm with Clark in 1985. They have since moved their offices to Charlottesville.
