PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT "Angelica Schuyler Church and Mr. Jefferson" will be the topic of a talk Sunday, Nov. 17, at 3 p.m. at the University of Virginia's Alderman Library. Against the backdrop of an exhibit about Church, Joanne Freeman, a U.Va. Ph.D. candidate in history, will discuss Church's role as well as that of other women in political families during the late 18th and early 19th century. The lecture is sponsored by the U.Va.'s Women Center. Church, Alexander Hamilton's sister-in-law, corresponded with many of the country's most prominent political figures, including Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, the Marquis de Lafayette, General Van Renssalaer and Baron von Steuben. The exhibit, which offers insight into the public and private lives of such politically astute men as Jefferson and Hamilton, consists of 77 letters and documents, including 13 letters from Jefferson and 11 from Hamilton. The documents remained in the possession of Church's descendants for two centuries prior to their recent purchase by U.Va. The exhibit also includes a portrait of Angelica Church by John Trumbull on loan from a private collection. Exhibit hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. For more information, call (804) 924-3025. ### November 13, 1996 START DATE: Immediate KILL DATE: Nov. 18, 1996
