BUSINESS LEADERS TO ADDRESS GLOBAL OPERATIONS CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Oct. 15--Two business leaders will offer their perspectives on global expansion Tuesday, Oct. 19, at 5 p.m. in Monroe Hall 130 at the University of Virginia. Coming to the University as part of the McIntire School of Commerce's Dean's Series on current business issues will be Paula H. J. Cholmondeley, vice president, business and strategy development of Owens-Corning Fiberglas Corp., and Matthew P. Figgie, financial assistant to the president at Figgie International. Before joining Owens-Corning, Cholmondeley was vice president and director of the International Division of the FAXON Co. Before that position, she was chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance for Blue Cross of Greater Philadelphia. Figgie, a 1988 graduate of the McIntire School, worked at a Wall Street investment firm in equity and economic research analysis before joining Figgie. His current responsibilities include corporate-wide investment management, economic analysis, forecasting and currency and commodity trading. During the public event, the speakers will describe their viewpoints on global expansion and field questions from the floor.
