93-10-16 Commemorative Watercolor Prints to Benefit U.Va. Library COMMEMORATIVE WATERCOLOR PRINTS TO BENEFIT U.VA. LIBRARY CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Oct. 16--The University of Virginia Library has published "Jefferson and the Natural World," a portfolio set of six limited-edition prints of watercolor drawings by botanical artist Margaret Stones. The drawings of living specimens of bloodroot, Carolina silverbell, pinxter azalea, redbud, and twinleaf collected from the grounds of Monticello and the University of Virginia were commissioned for the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Thomas Jefferson. Proceeds from the sale of the 500 portfolio sets, priced at $1,000 each, will benefit a planned new building for the University's special collections.
