THE COMMONWEALTH CENTER FOR LITERARY AND CULTURAL CHANGE TO HOST SEMINAR SERIES ON RELIGION CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Oct. 20 -- Designed for a general audience and supported by Charlottesville clergy, a seminar series sponsored by the University of VirginiaÕs Commonwealth Center for Literary and Cultural Change will focus on ÒReligion and American Pluralism.Ó The series, which is free and open to the public, meets Monday evenings from 7:30 to 9:15 p.m. Oct. 31 through Nov. 28 at the First Presbyterian Church on Park Street. Speakers will include nationally known divinity school professor David Tracy from the University of Chicago and philosopher Richard Rorty from U.Va., as well as many others. Panelists will address such questions as: Is there a common need for religious faith? Is there such a thing as the American Religion? Can atheists hold genuinely moral views?
