Photo Opportunity On Saturday, Oct. 28, U.Va. medical students will host a morning of fun for 22 pediatric cancer patients and their families as part of the Smile (Students Making It a Little Easier) Project. The event will take place at Jungle Max recreation center, 1454 Seminole Trail (next to Fresh Fields), from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Smile Project pairs U.Va. medical students with children who have cancer in an informal "buddy" system. "When the kids come to the Medical Center for treatment, they often just need a friend to talk to -- someone who isn't their doctor or nurse, just a friend," said Priya Tulsi, a second-year medical student. "It's just our way of trying to help make a difficult time a little easier." For more information on the Saturday event or the Smile Project, call Ms. Tulsi at 979 8640 or Tom Milam, president of the Smile Project, at 977-9697. ### October 24, 1995
