	U.S. Interior Secretary Bruce Babbitt will speak on the
north steps of the Rotunda at the University of Virginia at 1 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 19.

	His talk on national environmental issues is part of a
three-day visit to Virginia cities.  The talk will be followed at
about 1:30 p.m. by a question-and-answer period with the audience.

	Babbitt will be available for one-on-one interviews with
reporters following the event, at about 2 p.m.
