                           VIRGIL GOODE TO SPEAK AT U.VA. 

                                ON OCT. 27, 1997


        VIRGIL GOODE, D-Virginia, 5th District, will be in Charlottesville on 
Monday, Oct. 27, to discuss the legislative process with a University of 
Virginia class on the American Congress. Reporters are welcome to sit in on 
the lecture, which will run from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., but Goode will not have 
time to speak to reporters before or after class.
