Rick Turner, dean of the Office of African-American Affairs at the University of Virginia, and syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer will join others in a panel discussion titled "What Is It Going to Take to Reconcile Black and White in America?" on Monday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. in the Chemistry Auditorium. Other panelists participating in the Veritas Forum include Khadir Muhammad, regional director of the Nation of Islam and head of the National Mosque in Washington, D.C., and Larry James, president of Central Dallas Ministries, a Christian ministry of reconciliation. Following the discussion each panelist will respond to comments by other panelists. Questions from the audience will conclude the forum. The locally sponsored Veritas Forum provides an opportunity for people of different backgrounds and perspectives to gather in the spirit of free inquiry and open debate and examine difficult questions of modern life, according to assistant director Paul Cassell.
