We are excited that you’ll be attending Days on the Lawn! Though many accepted students and their families will arrive in Charlottesville at a similar time on these days, we have ample parking available.

1) Free, all-day parking at the Emmet/Ivy Garage: This garage is on the northwest corner of Emmet Street and University Avenue, behind the Cavalier Inn. From the garage you will be directed to Central Grounds, where we’ll hold Days on the Lawn. The walk to Central Grounds is approximately ten minutes. You also may choose to ride a University Bus (Northline) to Centra Grounds. It departs every ten minutes. Please see the map below for further walking directions.

2) Central Grounds Parking Garage: The Central Grounds Parking Garage is located at 400 Emmet Street, next to Memorial Gymnasium. The walk to Days on the Lawn from this garage is five minutes. We will validate parking for the first three hours in our Central Grounds Parking Garage. The rate for any extended period of time is $2/hour.

If you are planning to attend one of the February admitted student information sessions, please park in the Central Grounds Parking Garage.
