Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of Virginia!
On behalf of the Office of Admission, we invite you and your family to
Days on the Lawn. During
Days on the Lawn you'll have a chance to experience the University's
remarkable variety of programs and people. At every step you'll meet
students and faculty eager to help you discover the many facets of U.Va.
These are
days celebrating you and your accomplishments, and you can make your
day exactly what you want it to be. The flexible schedule allows you
to plan your own activities for the day and enjoy what the University
has to offer.
Each Day
will begin with a Welcome from 8:00 a.m. - 9:40 a.m. at the University's
historic Rotunda. There you can enjoy breakfast,
speak with University students and admission deans, and register to
visit classes throughout the day. After the Welcome you'll be free
to spend the morning visiting classes, while your parents can attend an information session for your chosen undergraduate school and meet with University representatives at the
Resource Fair. The afternoons are catered to your particular interests:
you can take a walking tour of Grounds or the dorm rooms; attend U.Va.
student panels; stroll the Grounds and speak informally
with students; grab a bite to eat and listen to student performances.
You may
select from the four program dates: April
7th; April 11th; April 18th , or April 21st. Please
see the links above for the schedule of the day you choose. (Check back soon for schedules!!) Please review the list of available classes before your arrival.
