How big are the Grounds?

U.Va.'s 538 buildings and facilities are spread over 3,340 acres in Charlottesville and elsewhere. But the core University Grounds are much smaller. Most academic buildings are within convenient walking distance of the residence halls, dining halls, and libraries.
