Jefferson Scholarships

Each year the Alumni Association awards approximately 30 Jefferson Scholarships, which cover the entire cost of attending U.Va. for four years. All secondary schools in Virginia, as well as schools in certain regions outside the state, are eligible to nominate a student. Students living in those areas must receive their schools' nomination in order to compete for the award.

Out-of-state applicants from schools outside these regions are automatically screened by the Committee on Admission, which may nominate them to the Alumni Association as at-large candidates. For further information, please visit the Jefferson Scholars Foundation Web site at www.jeffersonscholars.org or write the program at P.O. Box 3446, Charlottesville, VA 22903-3446 or call 434-243-9029.
