Always exciting, the U.Va. athletics scene has something for every sports fan. Whether you're watching the women's lacrosse team battle a rival at Klöckner Stadium or the men's basketball team crash the boards in the John Paul Jones Arena, cheering on the "Hoos" is for many students a thrilling part of their college experience.

The Cavaliers compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference, with 12 intercollegiate sports for men and 13 for women. From football, rowing, and lacrosse to soccer, basketball, and tennis, U.Va. is a perennial power on the national scene, capturing its share of championships, top-ten finishes, and conference titles in many sports.
